2010 has a special place in my heart because my husband and I welcomed our sweet baby girl into our lives! She has opened my eyes to what a wonderful place the world can be...

Friday's Fabulous Finds - Calligraphy Service

An absolute must on my wedding list for my big day was hand addressed envelopes and not just any hand addressed envelopes...nope! I had to have perfectly written calligraphy for our black envelopes with white writing. 


I scoured the net looking for writing that dreams were made of and I found her, of course, of Etsy! Take a look at Two Inspired's Shop for more samples of her beautiful work. Did I mention Eleanor also does table numbers and seating cards?

Hair Must Have's - Schwarzkopf's Dust It Powder

Is your hair in need of some serious volume and texture? Well Schwarzkopf's Dust It powder is the product for you. At first, the application process of "sprinkling in hair" may be confusing, but  you see how easy it is to use and how fabulous the results are, you won't want to leave home without it! 




There are several ways to use this powder:
-Use at the roots for lift
-Section and tap from root to mid-shaft to get that full, separated look. 
-Apply at the root if you wear clip in extensions and the clips stay put. This is our go to product when using clip in extensions on our brides.


If you have darker colored hair like mine, make sure it is rubbed in well, because it can look white if not dispersed properly.Remember, a little goes a long way, so try a few shakes here and there and discover how easy adding volume can be! Added bonus? It also absorbs oil!

Product Review - Stila's One Step Correct

A few months ago we did a blog giveaway for Stila's One Step Correct. I had purchased one for myself and one to give away to a lucky reader. I used the product for a few weeks and wrote a post about my mixed feelings (here). I just wasn't sure this primer lived up to its claims and was even less sure that it should grace my face daily instead of my favorite primers, Benefit's, "That Gal" and Smashbox's, Photo Finish.


Well Donna of Donna Dell blog fame was the winner of the contest and I asked her if she would write her own review of the product. She gave it 1 out of 5 stars! See her review (here).

Hair Must Have - Agadir Argan Oil

Have heard of Argan Oil being used in many treatments for the hair? There are many options available, but in our salon tested opinion Agadir Argan Oil is simply the best! This absolutely amazing scented oil  moisturizes, repairs, softens and strengthens. It is not oily and leaves no residue on the hair at all. It also nourishes a dry scalp, makes hair more manageable and cuts down drying time. This truly is the product that everyone should be applying to towel dried hair. 
How to? Smooth a quarter size of the oil all over, we like to start at the ends first. If you have longer hair, apply more to the lengths as needed. You will see and feel difference in your tresses with continued use, we can't style our hair without it. Definitely addicted!
