Hair Trend - The "undone" bun

Have you seen the new hair trend popping up on top of stars heads? The top-knot bun is a stylish and fast way to get your hair runway ready! Here the how too:


Gather hair into a ponytail at the crown of the head and then twist and pinn into the bun as you go for that "undone" bun. This style is meant to be anything but perfect, even adding a few whisps of hair around your face is a nice addition to the style. 


On the left, Sienna Miller shows us how the look with ease. Just some bobby pins, elastics, boar bristle brush and a good styling spray will get your where you need to be. We are lovin' the celeb classic Elnett Strong Hold Spray (a post on this next week).

While we love writing blog posts, updating our Facebook status and keeping up on the latest trends, the best part of our jobs is doing the actual work, you know the makeup and the hair, that is where the fun begins.

We are recently hired by Kira to do an engagement session with the ever fabulous Laura Kudritzki Photography, for her upcoming wedding in Sausalito. Kira and Kevin currently live in Miami but she is coming back to the Bay for her big day!

I saw this posted on a SF Bay Area Photographer, Jessica Burke's Blog and wanted to participate, I hope you do too. 


The Makeup Dolls will be joining in tomorrow, March 18th's blogger's day of silence and asking you to make a donation to Shelter Box along with ours. Shelter Box is an organization that provides humanitarian relief and aid in the form of equipment and materials that provide shelter, warmth and comfort to people displaced by natural or other disasters. 


The catasophe in Japan is unthinkable and it there is a very long road ahead in recovery. I can only imagine that every single dollar we donate will help.
